During Mousumi's visit to see the Pope in the Vatican City, she was inspired by San Pietro, also known as St. Peter's Basilica. The large faceted smoky topaz stone reminds her of the beautiful dome inside the Bascilica. The stone is set in a classic silver band which only partially surrounds the stone, keeping an artistic opening on the right. Like this ring and all the earliest churches in Rome, the Basilica also has it's entrance to the east where it is open to all.
